TLC breaks ground at their new site in Melbourne
Jul 01, 2020 Media Releases

TLC Healthcare has broken ground on their latest development in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Mordialloc. This development, located opposite Woodlands Golf Course, will incorporate a 120 place child care centre alongside a 150 place residential aged care home, community medical centre, commercial health club, swimming pool and café. Due for completion in 2022, TLC’s bold new development is the first time this range of intergenerational care services have been offered in one location by a single provider.

This latest endeavor expands on TLC’s healthcare integration and aged care deinstitutionalisation strategy, which has seen them combine community medical centres, gymnasiums and swimming pools with their aged care homes located across Melbourne and Geelong. Child care is a new endeavor for TLC, one that is a natural progression for the organisation.

Whilst taking part in the ground breaking ceremony at the new development, TLC Healthcare’s CEO, Lou Pascuzzi said “I am delighted to officially break ground on this exciting and innovative new development. At this location, TLC will be entering a new era of integrated health care with the opening of our first child care centre. Given the synergies between aged care, primary care and child care, it is a logical progression for our organisation to enter this field.

“TLC Early Learning’s first child care centre will be state-of-the-art and located alongside an aged care home, and community medical centre; giving peace of mind to our parents. Parents will also be able to join our on-site TLC Health Club, making it easier to fit in a workout or swim knowing their child is being well taken care of.

In addition to their Mordialloc location, TLC is also developing another new site in the Melbourne suburb of Ivanhoe East, engaging a similar integrated design. The development is conveniently located on Lower Heidelberg Road with sweeping views of the CBD skyline and is scheduled for delivery in 2023.
